About the Breeders:
We were living in the United Kingdom when we decided to get a Weimaraner. From our research the breed fit our lifestyle very well and that decision has proved to be correct in every way.
We found Finley’s breeder in Wales, a four hour drive from where we were living. He was a game keeper on a large hunting estate and he used his dogs for working the pheasant hunts, however, her lineage is of the Gunalt line, an award winning blood line. We liked the fact that the breeder was a practical man who was less concerned with winning shows than having a smart, obedient, talented working dog which was also good at home with the kids too.
As a puppy, Finley got to come to work with us most days, and traveled frequently in the car. She’s been on a barge trip on the canals of France, and spent time with us in Bruges.
Attending many country sporting events with dog show arenas, we were frequently stopped by dog owners to ask when she was showing. One lady in particular looked relieved since she also had entered her Weimaraner saying she would have certainly won best working breed.
Finley has adjusted well to life in Seattle, and gets excited when ever we get near any beach since one of her favorite things is swimming and retrieving her water toys. She is good natured and very patient with children. Never once has she chewed anything which was not intended for her chewing enjoyment!
We are not career breeders. Finley will have only one litter and we want to make sure that these puppies go to good and loving homes. If you are interested in one of her puppies, please get in touch. We will want to ask you a few questions about your life-style, why you feel a Weimaraner is a good choice for you, if you prefer a boy or girl, things about your home, and how one of these elegant dogs with fit in to your life and family. We do not want any of Finley’s puppies to need re-homing, and certainly not to end up at a rescue center, so we take this process very seriously!
The puppies are due on the 18th of December 2010. They will be AKC registered. We expect 5-6 puppies and would be happy to take a deposit to secure your bundle of furry joy.
